Thomas Merker

Thomas Merker (born May 8, 1958 in Hamburg ) is a German cameraman .

Life

Thomas Merker took several photography courses in portrait, landscape and concert photography at the Hamburg School of Photography. From 1978 to 1985 he studied at the University of Television and Film Munich . During this time he worked with cameramen like Helge Weindler and Ennio Guarnieri . With the television film Das Go! Directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel . Project debuted flag 1986 as a cameraman for a feature film. He was able to establish himself as a cameraman and has since made feature films and television films such as Das Bitstück , Schöne Frauen and An incorrigible Dickkopf . For his work on The Soloist - No Way Back , he was nominated for Best Cinematography at the 2000 German Television Prize.
