The Valdebenito Rock ( English ; Spanish Islote Valdebenito ) is a large cliff rock in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is north of Canales Island in front of Ferrer Point in the southeast of Discovery Bay on Greenwich Island .

Scientists of the 1st Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1946–1947) carried out measurements and named him. It is named after an officer on board the research vessel Iquique on this research trip. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated this designation into English in 2005 in an adapted form.
