Chilean Antarctic Expedition

The Chilean Antarctic Expedition (ChilAE) is the official title of the following research trips to Antarctica, which were and are being undertaken primarily to set up and supply research stations on the South Shetland Islands and in the Antarctic territory claimed by Chile :

The annual expeditions continued from 2000. The ships used for this were mainly the Viel Toro , the Lautaro , the Galvarino , the Micalvi and the Aspirante Isaza .
