action

Marianne Bauer, head of a Berlin garden center, cannot answer one question: does she still love her husband Rudolf? He had recently left Marianne after 20 years of marriage because of the much younger Tamara and is now planning a cruise in the Caribbean with his new girlfriend on the five-masted luxury yacht Royal Clipper . In order to answer her question, Marianne decided to book the same cruise and follow her husband. At the destination airport she meets the two young supermarket employees Grit and Lisa, who are also on their way to the Royal Clipper. Captain Arno Köhler had invited both of them out on the upcoming cruise out of gratitude, because they had saved his little son's life after a bicycle accident. The young ladies then experience the most beautiful weeks of their lives, enjoy the luxury on board and the exotic surroundings and almost miss the Royal Clipper's departure after an excursion.

When Rudolf Bauer found his wife among the passengers on the luxury sailor, he was initially outraged and angry. His holiday mood seems spoiled, but the situation changes as the cruise progresses. Tamara gradually realizes that she and Rudolf have few interests in common and that Rudolf still has feelings for his wife. Finally Tamara leaves the ship and Marianne and Rudolf find each other again.

Captain Köhler, who had bet with Marlene that Rudolf would stay with Tamara, now has to realign his previously infallible compass of love .
