Eleonore Weisgerber (born August 18, 1947 in Wiesbaden ) is a German actress .

life and career

She wanted to become an actress at the age of ten. Her grandmother had also been on the stage. Weisgerber went to drama school in Berlin and had her first contract at the Comedy Düsseldorf .

She made her television debut in 1968 alongside Helmut Griem in the film Bel Ami . She became known through the television film Ein Winter auf Mallorca (1981). She became popular through the role of Dr. Gisela Saalbach in the series Praxis Bülowbogen alongside Günter Pfitzmann (1987–1992). Weisgerber was involved in many other television productions, so u. a. in Der Kommissar (1972 and 1974), Tatort , The Old One (1978 to 1994), Stories from Home , A Home for Animals , Office, Office (1989 and 1993), Derrick (1993 to 1998), A Case for Two ( 1985), A Murder for Quandt (1995), Wolffs Revier (1992 to 1994), SOKO Leipzig , Siska , Schulz and Schulz (1992), Schlosshotel Orth (1997), Nikola (1998), Helicops - Mission over Berlin (2000) or in A Strong Team (2007).

In the cinema she was in Claude Chabrol's Dr. M (1988) and female pilots (1995). In addition, Weisgerber has also been active as a chansonnière (alto voice) since 1999 . She developed a stage program called the rise and fall of the femme fatale . She sings in this u. a. Songs by Friedrich Hollaender and Hildegard Knef with texts by Klabund , Kurt Tucholsky and Günter Neumann . She released a CD under the same title (Berliner Musenkinder, 2004)

Private life

Eleonore Weisgerber married her fellow actor Joachim Bliese in 1976 . The marriage was divorced in 2002. Weisgerber, who lives in Berlin, has two children: the film director and screenwriter Miriam Bliese (* 1978), and the cultural scientist and social worker Johannes Bliese (* 1982), who is also active in the Berlin hip-hop scene , where he the stage name Joe Madog occurs.

social commitment

Weisgerber founded " IN BALANCE - Foundation for Bipolar Disorders Berlin" in 2007 under the patronage of the German Society for Bipolar Disorders , whose goal is to make society more aware of the mental illnesses associated with bipolar disorders . Since 2010 she has also been involved as a “step-maker” for the Tom Wahlig Foundation , which has set itself the goal of researching and combating the rare disease HSP .
