Siska is a television crime series that was broadcast from October 1998 to July 2008 by ZDF , SF DRS and ORF .

The series

After the end of the Derrick crime series , its author and producer, Herbert Reinecker and Helmut Ringelmann , wanted to create a successor. The new series should originally go under the title Der Kommissar . Finally, the title Siska was chosen; the main character of the same name got the first name of his first actor Peter Kremer .

Siska was and is broadcast in over 20 countries.

After the death of his wife ( Sabine Petzl ), Peter Siska moves from Mülheim to Munich and takes on a homicide squad there. Chief Inspector Jacob Hahne and Chief Inspector Lorenz Wiegand are initially skeptical about this, but in their first case the trio has to stick together to resolve it. Despite the three different investigation methods, team spirit always comes first.

After 56 episodes, Peter Kremer dropped out in October 2004 ( serial death ). From episode 57, Wolfgang Maria Bauer took over as Chief Inspector Viktor Siska (and as the brother of the late Peter Siska) the management of the Munich homicide squad with his colleagues Chief Inspector Jacob Hahne ( Werner Schnitzer ), who has been with the series since the start, and Inspector Gerhard Lessmann ( Tobias Nath ), who started his service in Munich with Viktor Siska. Nath dropped out of line in December 2005. Former colleagues were also Chief Detective Lorenz Wiegand ( Matthias Freihof ) and Chief Detective Felix Bender , played by Robinson Reichel . Lessmann's successor was Chief Detective Robert Dallberg , played by Dirk Plönissen .

A special feature is that Wolfgang Maria Bauer (who later became Viktor Siska ) played the murderer in three earlier episodes (episode 40: "When you're dead first" and episode 50: "In the last minute") and in episode 37 ("And then nobody will help you ”) than Franz Kuhn.

The series was discontinued after 91 episodes, the last episode aired on July 4, 2008.
