Joachim Bliese (born October 7, 1935 in Kiel ) is a German actor .

Joachim Bliese completed an acting training at the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg .

This was followed by theater engagements at the Schauspielhaus Wien , at the Städtische Bühnen Oberhausen (1964/1965), at the Thalia Theater Hamburg , at the Theater am Neumarkt in Zurich , from 1981 to 1991 at the Schillertheater Berlin and at the Freie Volksbühne in Berlin . Guest engagements have taken him to various theaters in Stuttgart and Frankfurt am Main , to the Landestheater Coburg , the Staatstheater Wiesbaden , the Schauspiel Bonn , the Nationaltheater Mannheim and Basel .

At the end of 2011 / beginning of 2012 there were racism allegations on the part of Bühnenwatch against Joachim Bliese and Dieter Hallervorden , because the figure of the black Midge Carter was cast as a blackface in a play .

Private life

Joachim Bliese was married to the actress Eleonore Weisgerber from 1976 to 2002 . They have two children: the film director and writer Miriam Bliese (* 1978), and the cultural scientist and social worker John Bliese (* 1982), who is also in Berlin's hip-hop scene is active, where he under the stage name Joe Madog occurs .

At the beginning of his theater career, Bliese played the teenage lover's classical theater repertoire. In the 1960s and 1970s, Bliese was seen several times on German television in literary adaptations, in theater recordings or in television adaptations of plays. In 1966 he took on the role of Emil Groß in a TV production alongside Kurt Ehrhardt in the farce Der Raub der Sabineinnen by Franz and Paul von Schönthan . In January 1993 he took part in the New Year's Concert in the Berlin Philharmonic "with excellent diction" alongside Leslie Malton as speaker in a concert performance of the Purcell opera King Arthur ; Marcus Creed conducted the RIAS Chamber Choir and the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra .

Later in his career, Bliese developed into an intense character actor on stage for aging, sick and deeply lonely stage characters. At the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in Hamburg he played in the play Baumeister Solness by Henrik Ibsen . In 2007 Bliese embodied the aging Faust in the Faust adaptation of the Ohnsorg Theater . In 2008 he played the role of the cancer patient Franz Maus in Roswitha Quadflieg's play Atschüüß, mien Leev . For this acting performance, Bliese was awarded the Rolf Mares Prize of the Hamburg theaters in 2008 . In 2009 he played at the Fritz-Reuter-stage in Schwerin in the play De Dood in'n Appelboom by Paul Osborn. In 2009 Bliese again played the old privy councilor Matthias Clausen at the Hamburg Ohnsorg Theater in a Low German adaptation of Gerhart Hauptmann's play Before Sunset . In October 2016 he played the role of Amandus Rosenbach in the Low German premiere of the stage version of Honig im Kopf .

From the beginning of the 1980s, Bliese was increasingly seen on German television. Bliese was often used in crime series and crime films. In the television series Tatort he appeared in a total of four episodes. Bliese also took roles in several feature films including, inter alia in 1989 as Secretary of State Hilper in production The spider web under the direction of Leo Penn , also in 1989 as ambassador to Bangkok Story and most recently in 1991 in the US spy movie Company Business of Nicholas Meyer .

Bliese also worked on two short films by director Till Endemann , in 2004 in Vergissmeinnicht and in 2005 in Kometen . Bliese drew an intense acting character portrait in the television feature film Schiller (2005), where in an oppressive scene as a doctor he admonishes the seriously ill Friedrich Schiller to calm down and to deal with his dying vitality in moderation. In 2009 Bliese took on a role in the television film The Soul of a Murderer based on a novel by Batya Gur .

Bliese works extensively for radio as a speaker in radio plays . He also recorded audio books , such as works by Markus Werner . He also works as a reciter and gives readings, e.g. B. with poems by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe , Bertolt Brecht , Rainer Maria Rilke and Gottfried Benn .
