Irene Schuck

Irene Schuck (* 1960 in Salzburg ) is a German author and radio play director .

Life

Irene Schuck grew up in Munich and Berlin. Parallel to her Abitur exams, she sat in on the Münchner Kammerspiele under Dieter Dorn , but then studied philosophy at the University of Philosophy in Munich . There she was awarded the Alfred Delp Prize in 1988 for her master's thesis on "Humanity in Martin Heidegger's 'Being and Time'". In 1984 she joined Dieter Hasselblatt in the radio play department of Bayerischer Rundfunk . Here she worked for a number of years as an assistant director and editor until she directed her first time in 1987. Since then, Schuck has staged a large number of productions for German radio stations and ORF .
