Jürgen Wellbrock

Jürgen Wellbrock (born July 21, 1949 in Bremen ) is a German poet , essayist and radio play author .

Life

Wellbrock grew up in the town where he was born. After finishing school, he trained as a typesetter there . He did his community service in Celle and Göttingen . In 1972 he moved to Berlin , where he now lives in the Zehlendorf district .

Wellbrock published his first poems and prose from 1975 on the radio stations SFB and RIAS . His first volume of poetry was published in 1977, and his first radio plays were produced by Radio Bremen in 1984 . In 1994 he received a scholarship from the Stuttgart Writers' House , a year later another scholarship from Schloss Wiepersdorf .
