Hans Helge Ott
Hans Helge Ott (* 1951 in Bremen ) is a German radio play director , author and speaker .
Life
As a child and later as a teenager, Hans Helge Ott played children's roles on Radio Bremen on the radio. After successfully completing his degree in graphic design, he returned to radio and has worked there as an author and director since 1977. In 1986 he became in-house director at Radio Bremen, and since 2001 he has been responsible for the editorial work of the predominantly Low German radio plays broadcast jointly by Radio Bremen and Norddeutscher Rundfunk . Ott is also a columnist at Mare Radio and occasionally also works for the theater, especially the Ohnsorg Theater , from which two of his productions were broadcast on television in High German.
The play Huus an't Meer comes from Ott's own pen , and he transferred the comedy Mixed Company by British author Derek Benfield into Low German on the basis of the German translation ( Das once-three of love ) under the title Men to'n utprobeern .
Hans Helge Ott directs both High and Low German productions, including the multi-part series Düsse Petersens , for which he also wrote several scripts, or the radio plays about "Miesel" based on the stories of the British actor Ian Ogilvy .
