Erkki Hopf

Erkki Hopf (* 1964 in Hamburg ) is a German actor and radio play speaker .

life and work

After graduating from the Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium in Hamburg in 1983, Erkki Hopf lived in Finland, where his mother was born, until 1987. During this time he worked as a German news anchor for Radio Helsinki . After returning to Germany, he trained as an actor at the Stage School of Dance and Drama in his hometown for three years from 1987 . In 1990 he started his first engagement at the Lüneburg Theater , before moving to the Ohnsorg Theater in Hamburg in 1993 , of which he is still a member today. Here he has played a variety of roles so far, including the title role in Charley's Tante , the suicidal photographer in De Nervbüdel , the Low German stage version of the hit film Die Filzlaus , or the scribe Licht in Dat Schörengericht , the Low German adaptation of the Kleist play Der zerbrochne Krug . Hopf was awarded the Rolf Mares Prize in 2012 for his portrayal in the musical De lütte Horrorladen . Some pieces with Hopf's participation were also shown as High German productions on television. B. Plünnenball (1999), Hamburger Bier (2000) or Pension Schöller (2005).

In addition, since 1996, Erkki Hopf has been active extensively as a speaker in mostly Low German radio play productions for the North German Radio and Radio Bremen , for example in the role of the father of the family in the radio play series Düsse Petersens since 2011 .

Furthermore, Hopf works as a speaker in many areas, e.g. B. in commercials or as voice-over , spoke various characters in the animated series Max and Molly and worked as a voice actor in Sesamstrasse op Platt and in the episodes of the cult series Neues aus Büttenwarder, which were translated into Low German under the title Büttenwarder op Platt . In addition, Erkki Hopf has recorded a number of audio books and CDs in the field of children's literature. For the nonsense box of the NDR he spoke various characters, such as Urmel , Peter Pan or Till Eulenspiegel . Hopf also gives acting lessons.

In addition to German, Erkki Hopf speaks Finnish on a native level and learned piano, flute and violoncello in the music branch of the Albert Schweitzer grammar school.
