Düsse Petersens is a family series in partly High German, partly Low German, which has been broadcast on all four state programs of NDR 1 since 2011 , namely NDR 1 Niedersachsen , NDR 1 Welle Nord , NDR 1 Radio MV and NDR 90.3 , as well as the Nordwestradio .

The Petersen family, consisting of father Kai, mother Ulrike, their daughter Mirjam, who is about to graduate from high school, their twelve-year-old son Hendrik and the dog Cappuccino, have fulfilled their dream and move from their previous apartment in Hamburg-Altona to rural Schleswig- Holstein near Ahrensburg . Shortly afterwards, Kai becomes unemployed, help is coming from his father Hermann and Ulrike's mother Hertha, who decide to escape their loneliness and move in with the children. Against the background of the professional situation in Kais, the Petersens get involved in this experiment, which, however, initially contains a lot of explosive, as Hermann and Hertha can't stand each other and to this day they are constantly sinning. And Ulrike's new job at the nearby clinic is anything but a picnic. Kai now works as a temporary caretaker in his son's school.

Others

The series tells the everyday problems of an average German family in about half-hour episodes. Some of the episodes are broadcast in the individual state programs on different days and at different times.
