NDR 1 Welle Nord is a German radio broadcaster . It is one of the four regional programs of the North German Broadcasting Corporation .

history

NDR 1 Welle Nord started on January 2, 1981 as a state program for Schleswig-Holstein and was expanded into a full program in several steps by April 1989 .

Today, Welle Nord broadcasts its own program from Monday to Friday between 5 a.m. and 10:10 p.m. and on the weekend between 6:05 a.m. and 10 p.m. In the remaining time that takes Landeswelle the ARD Hitnacht produced what other on a monthly basis with the three NDR-country programs and Monday to Friday the program at 23: 30-00: 00 pm, reports today that in the weekly change from NDR from Hamburg or the WDR from Cologne.

Target groups, program, market share

The station is aimed primarily at the middle generation, and until 2011 also at the older generation. The current advertising slogan ( claim ) is: We love music, we love Schleswig-Holstein. Hello! . For a long time, the range of music on offer consisted partly of hits, oldies and newer music from the last two decades, but also of current music. The station developed from 2008 to 2012 from a hit station to a pop station. First of all, in 2008 the hit share was reduced from 70% to 20% and the oldie share increased from 30% to 50%. In addition, 20% modern chart pop was included in the program. In 2011 the hit was completely removed from the program. You could then hear 50% oldies from the 60s and 70s, 25% hits from the 80s and 90s and 25% modern pop. In 2012, in the last modernization step, the proportion of oldies from the 60s and 70s was reduced to 30%, the proportion of the 80s and 90s increased to 40% and the proportion of modern music increased to 30%. Here came u. a. also added music by Toten Hosen, Lady Gaga, etc.

Three times a day, regional reporting takes place in the studios in Flensburg ( NDR-Studio Flensburg ), Heide , Norderstedt , Lübeck and Kiel . In addition, there are often sports reports in the program, e.g. B. from the handball Bundesliga or the regional football league . As a rule, only one German song is played per hour, with the exception of the programs “Von Binnenland und Waterkant”, “Zurachen”, “Beat Classics” and “Hits und Oldies”.

With a market share of 21.4%, NDR 1 Welle Nord is the market leader in Schleswig-Holstein, the closest competitor ( NDR 2 ) achieves 20.9%, R.SH as third 18.7%. NDR 1 Welle Nord has been the market leader for the eighth time.

Well-known programs

From inland and waterfront

Monday-Friday: 8: 05-10: 00 p.m.

The broadcast was heard for the first time on May 16, 1951 as a regional broadcast in the radio program of NWDR 1 for the state of Schleswig-Holstein from the Flensburg studio. Even today it is the most famous broadcast of this now NDR 1 national wave. Nowadays it is the after-work magazine of NDR 1 Welle Nord. Themes, people and events are featured across the country. Von Binnenland und Waterkant was born in Schleswig-Holstein's oldest studio, the NDR-Studio Flensburg , and is also the oldest radio broadcast in the country. In 2011 the 60th birthday of the show was celebrated. Changing moderators lead through the show. On Thursdays, the Ostseemagazin was an integral part of the program from 9:05 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Ostseemagazin is a joint production of the NDR and the Swedish radio Sveriges Radio . Within the magazine reporters report on news from the entire Baltic Sea region, such as B. from Sweden, Finland, Poland, Russia and also from Northern Germany.

Low German radio play

Every second Friday: 9: 05–10: 00 pm

The Low German radio play can be heard every second Friday at 9:05 p.m. Classics from the NDR archives as well as new productions by contemporary authors are sent via the station. The content ranges from coarse and funny to critical and reflective.

Down to business

Sunday: 6:05 pm to 8:00 pm

In this program, a topic is taken from the country, which is then discussed with various guests in the studio or in the field production. The listeners can also participate in this discussion by phone or email.

Sunday evening

Sunday: 8: 05-10: 00 p.m.

This is a music show in which oldies from the directions rock, pop, country and beat are played in German and English.

Good evening Schleswig-Holstein

Monday-Friday 6:05 p.m.-8: 00 p.m.

This is a music program that, unlike the other NDR state programs, is always broadcast before the information and cultural programs. In the program "Guten Abend Schleswig-Holstein" (formerly hits and oldies) from Monday to Friday 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the news is broadcast every half hour on the traffic radio. The sections within this broadcasting route are the regional weather with Meeno Schrader at 6:31 pm-6:32 pm and the Blessed Evening (evening prayer of the radio church) at 7:04 pm to 7:07 pm.

Until the pop music was removed from the program, there was a pop music broadcast on Saturday from 8: 05-10: 00 p.m. As a result of the realignment of the music offering on NDR 1 Welle Nord, this program was deleted from the program and linked to the preceding program Hits und Oldies from 6 pm to 8 pm and became the new 4-hour music series Hits und Oldies XXL (today "Musik XXL") merged, in which this musical color of the Schlager is no longer served. The show is always about a music topic. For example ladies night, gentlemen's night, the 70s or Stars and Christmas.

Listen to pray

The small program Hör mal`n prayen to consists of a comment or a gloss from the radio speakers on everyday topics or topics on current events. Many years ago it was heard for more than ten minutes in the morning, but it is now broadcast between 10 am and 12 noon and repeatedly at 8 pm to 10 pm, down-formatted to two and a half minutes.

Andresen the Schleswig-Holstein Talk

Andresen der Schleswig-Holstein Talk was a pre-produced talk show with Jan Malte Andresen that was broadcast every Tuesday evening from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the program Von Binnenland und Waterkant. Guests of the show were stars, well-known people from Schleswig-Holstein or people who have something to do with Schleswig-Holstein.
