Jan Bastick

Jan Bastick (born November 2, 1968 in Hamburg ) is a German radio presenter who, together with Maja Herzbach, moderates the weekday morning program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on NDR 1 Welle Nord .

Career

After graduating from high school, Bastick completed an apprenticeship as a banker at Hamburger Sparkasse . He then became a contract soldier in the Navy for 2 years . After completing his military service, he studied history and politics at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.

Radio Hamburg

While still studying, Bastick began working as a freelancer and presenter at Radio Hamburg . In 1995 he began a traineeship at the station and completed it in 1997. In 1998 he got his own daily show on Radio Hamburg in the afternoon from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., which he moderated until July 2010. Bastick was also co-moderator of the Top 800 several times .

NDR 1 wave north

In August 2010 Bastick moved to NDR 1 Welle Nord in Schleswig-Holstein . Here he also moderated the daily afternoon broadcast. From August 2012 to August 2017, Bastick was the presenter of the “More Fun in the Morning Show”. In September 2017 Bastick switched to the morning show, which he hosted together with Maja Herzbach until May 2019. Since then he has moderated the show alone from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The morning broadcast was taken over by Horst Hoof .

Bastick is married and has 3 children. On January 3, 2016, Jan Bastick was a candidate in the NDR quiz show with Jörg Pilawa.
