Uwe Arkuszewski (born February 1, 1962 in Rendsburg ; † November 11, 2004 in Henstedt-Ulzburg ) was a German presenter , singer and entertainer .

Life

Uwe Arkuszewski's father worked in sales for the Polygram music group. He had contact with music from an early age. At the age of 14 he became a DJ . After he began to sing himself at the age of 18, he took part in numerous competitions as a singer. At the age of 23, Uwe Arkuszewski began his radio career as a presenter for Radio Schleswig-Holstein (R.SH), where he moderated the programs "RSH turns on" and "RSH Grand Prix" as well as the hit parade, but also read the news , the "Nordwetter" and the traffic radio.

Arkuszewski released some singles under the name T.Ark from 1987 onwards. With the dance song How old are you he was represented for 17 weeks in the listener hit parade RSH-Nordparade.

In 1991 he had a new record company with da music , with which he released the title Carry Me composed by Dieter Bohlen .

In 1992 Arkuszewski moved to Delta Radio as head of music and deputy program director and helped set up the station. There he moderated the "Delta Battery".

In 1995 he switched to “NordOstseeRadio”, which was later renamed Radio Nora . Arkuszewski moderated six programs per week, including the hit parade, trained presenters and was both station voice and producer.

In August 1996 the album Rendezvous came out under his real name. In addition to its own titles, it also contained cover versions of well-known hits. About the change from Italo Disco - to the pop singer, he said: “I've got older and more mature. In addition, I have always been closely connected to the hit song, somehow felt at home there. ” In July 1997, the autobiographical CD Ich bin frei , which was produced by Peter Sebastian, was released.

Since 1999 Arkuszewski has moderated at NDR 1 Welle Nord . He was also on stage for outside events such as the Kiel Week. Arkuszewski was on a bath tour for 4 years with the duo Sunshine, the highlight was a joint appearance on the night of the German hit in Bad Segeberg in front of 12,000 people, the duo published an obituary for Arkuszewski, who died in 2004, on their website. In May 2004 Uwe Arkuszewski's last single "Halt für mich die Zeit once again" was released, in which Mary Ross was also involved.

Arkuszewski died on November 11, 2004 at the age of 42 of sudden heart failure and was buried at the Ev. Garstedt cemetery in Norderstedt near Hamburg.
