Hartmut Cyriacks
Hartmut Cyriacks (born July 28, 1955 in Achim ) is a German dramaturge , translator and journalist .
Life
Hartmut Cyriacks studied German and history in Braunschweig. After his time as a trainee teacher in Hamburg, he worked as a dramaturge at the Ohnsorg Theater there from 1985 to 1994 , until he was dismissed by the then director Thomas Bayer . Together with Peter Nissen , he has been running a text manufacturer for theater, radio and television work as well as translations since 1994. Both also publish anthologies of Low German texts on various topics. Also in 1994 he and Nissen launched the Low German news on NDR 90.3 (at that time still NDR Hamburg-Welle 90.3) and were active as speakers themselves until 2012.
The works of Cyriack (usually together with Nissen) include not only translations of plays, but also books such as B. two novels about Harry Potter and several Asterix volumes. Together with Nissen, he is the author of Low German dictionaries and wrote five episodes of the multi-part series Düsse Petersens and 80 episodes of the Radio Bremen radio play series Kastendiek & Bischoff for radio . In addition, Cyriacks and Nissen are responsible for the Low German scripts for the NDR cult series Neues aus Büttenwarder .

- 2012: Quickborn Prize of the Lower Saxony Sparkasse Foundation for special achievements in the field of the Low German language (together with Peter Nissen)
- 2014: Fritz Reuter Prize of the Carl Toepfer Foundation for the promotion of the Low German language (together with Peter Nissen)
