Quickborn Prize

The Quickborn Prize ( nds : Quickborn-Pries) is an award for special achievements in the field of Low German language , literature or folklore research.

history

The award was created in 1962 and was then awarded regularly until 1984. Since 1992, the Quickborn Prize has been awarded every two years by the Quickborn Association for Low German Language and Literature eV in Quickborn near Hamburg . The prize has been awarded since 2006 in cooperation with the Lower Saxony Sparkasse Foundation, which also provides the prize money of € 2,000.
