Friedrich W. Michelsen
Friedrich W. Michelsen (born March 14, 1926 in Düsseldorf ; † November 6, 2010 in Hamburg ) was a Low German linguist and literary scholar.
Friedrich Wilhelm Michelsen was a professor of librarianship at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences . He compiled the Low German Bibliography ( ISSN 0930-021X ) for the period from 1945 to 1990. From 1965 to 1968 and from 1970 to 1977 he was chairman of the Quickborn Association ; from 1973 to 1993 its editor.
Friedrich W. Michelsen received the Johannes Saß Prize in 1986 , the Quickborn Prize in 1994 , the Friedestromp Prize in 1998 and the Fritz Reuter Prize of the Carl Toepfer Foundation in Hamburg in 2004 .
