Ulf Bichel

Ulf Bichel (born April 9, 1925 in Kiel ; † February 9, 2013 there ) was a German linguist and literary scholar .

Ulf Bichel studied psychology, history and German. In 1954 he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD. After the state examination in 1956, Bichel worked in school from 1957 to 1961, then at the German Department of Kiel University . Habilitation in 1970. 1974 appointment as adjunct professor.

Retired in 1987, he mainly devoted himself to researching the life and impact of the Low German poet Klaus Groth . Bichel was a member a. a. the Fritz Reuter Society , which awarded him a letter of honor in 1990 . Together with his wife Ingeborg Bichel, geb. Zenker († August 29, 2010) Ulf Bichel received the Quickborn Prize in 2002 . In 2008 Ulf Bichel was made an honorary member of the Klaus Groth Society .
