Guillaume Saurina
Guillaume Saurina (born August 4, 1981 in Avignon ) is a handball player from France .
Career
The 1.93 meters tall and 99 kilograms heavy backcourt player initially played at Montpellier HB . From 2001 to 2002 he played for HBC Villefranche Handball Beaujolais and from 2002 to 2006 for Villeurbanne handball association. From 2006 to 2010 he played for USAM Nîmes . With 178 goals he was the top scorer of the 2009/10 season. He was then under contract with Chambéry Savoie HB in the 2010/11 season . He then returned to USAM Nîmes and was again top scorer of the Ligue Nationale de Handball with 162 goals in the 2011/12 season . Saurina is only the third player after Anouar Ayed and Mladen Bojinović to score over 1000 goals in the LNH. From the 2016/17 season he played for the Romanian first division club CSM Bucharest . In October 2017, Saurina moved to the French first division club HBC Nantes .
For the French national team , Guillaume Saurina played an international match until December 2010 , in which he scored two goals; he was in the extended squad for the 2011 World Cup .
