Camille Ayglon-Saurina (born May 21, 1985 in Avignon , France , born Camille Ayglon ) is a French handball player . She plays handball for the French first division club Nantes Loire Atlantique and in the French national handball team .
Career
Camille Ayglon-Saurina played from 1999 for the French handball club Cercle Nîmes . Between 2008 and 2010, the backcourt player played for the French first division team Metz Handball . With Metz she won the French championship in 2009, the French Cup in 2010 and the French League Cup in 2009 and 2010. In summer 2010 she returned to Handball Cercle Nîmes. From the 2016/17 season she was under contract with the Romanian first division club CSM Bucharest . With Bucharest she won the Romanian championship in 2017 and 2018, the Romanian Cup in 2017 and 2018 and took third place in the Final Four of the EHF Champions League in 2017 and 2018 . In July 2018 she joined the French club Nantes Loire Atlantique Handball .
Camille Ayglon-Saurina initially ran for the French national junior team, with whom she finished 4th at the U-19 European Championship in 2004 and 17th at the U-20 World Championship in 2005. On March 1, 2007, she made her debut for the French national team. With the French team she took part in the Olympic Games in 2008 , 2012 and 2016 . In 2016 she won the Olympic silver medal. A year later she won the World Cup in Germany . at the European Championships 2018 she won the gold medal in her own country. Further successes with the French selection were winning the bronze medal at the 2016 European Championships and silver medals at the 2009 and 2011 World Championships .
