The Handball Club Nantes ( HBC Nantes for short ) is a French handball club from Nantes , whose men's team plays in the Ligue Nationale de Handball , the highest French league.

history

In the 2010/11 season the HBC Nantes reached the 5th place in the league and thus entered the 2011/12 international EHF Cup , in which they were eliminated in the 3rd round against the Belarusian representative HC Dinamo Minsk . The next year they improved to 4th place in the domestic league and qualified again for the EHF Cup. After surviving the group phase, as the host of the Final Four , you were set for the semi-finals. In the final , however, they lost to the Rhein-Neckar Löwen . For the EHF-Pokal 2015/16 Nantes hosted the Final Four again and made it into the final again. This time they lost against Frisch Auf Göppingen . In 2015 Nantes won the Coupe de la Ligue and in 2017 the Coupe de France . After being eliminated in the round of 16 of the EHF Champions League 2016/17 , the Final Four was reached for the first time in 2017/18 .
