Guy Olivier Nyokas (born June 28, 1986 in Montfermeil ) is a French handball player .
Career
Olivier Nyokas started playing handball at school. After playing at ES Montgeron in his youth, he went to the second division UMS Pontault-Combault. In 2006 he moved to Paris Handball , with which he won the Coupe de France in 2007 . Then the 1.88 meter tall back player went to the Spanish club BM Alcobendas , for whom he played in the ASOBAL league. In 2009 he returned to France and joined US Créteil HB . From 2014 he was under contract with the German Bundesliga club HBW Balingen-Weilstetten . In the summer of 2016, he moved to the French club HBC Nantes . With Nantes, he won the French Cup in 2017.
Nyokas played his first international match for the French national team against Denmark on November 5, 2015 . With France he took part in the 2016 European Championships in Poland . He won the silver medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . In 2017 he won the World Cup with France.
Private
Olivier Nyoka's twin brother Alix Kévynn Nyokas also plays handball, currently at Benfica Lisbon .
