Romain Lagarde (born March 5, 1997 in Lorient ) is a French handball player who is under contract with the German club Rhein-Neckar Löwen .

Career

Romain Lagarde moved from Lanester HB to HBC Nantes in 2014 . There he signed his first professional contract two years later. He has been under contract with German Bundesliga club Rhein-Neckar Löwen since the 2019/20 season .

Lagarde was initially a member of the French youth and junior national team. With these teams he won the gold medal at the U-18 European Championship in 2014 , the gold medal at the U-19 World Championship in 2015 , the bronze medal at the U-20 European Championship in 2016 and the bronze medal at the U-21 World Championship in 2017 . He is now a member of the French national team . At the European Championship in 2018 and in the World Cup in 2019 he won the bronze medal each.
