Blaž Janc (born November 20, 1996 in Brežice ) is a Slovenian handball player .

Career

Blaž Janc started playing handball at the age of ten. From 2012 he was under contract with the Slovenian first division club RK Celje . At the age of 15, Janc was first used in the EHF Champions League . With Celje he won the Slovenian Championship in 2014, 2015 and 2016 and the Slovenian Cup in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. In summer 2017 he moved to the Polish first division club KS Kielce . With Kielce he won the Polish championship in 2018, 2019 and 2020 and the Polish Cup in 2018 and 2019. He has been under contract with the Spanish top club FC Barcelona since summer 2020 .

Blaž Janc initially played for the Slovenian junior selection. He won the gold medal at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing . He is now a member of the Slovenian national team . He was a member of the Slovenian squad at the 2016 Olympic Games . At the European Championships 2020 he finished fourth with Slovenia and was elected to the All-Star team.
