Daniel "Dani" Dujshebaev Dovichevaeva (born July 4, 1997 in Santander ) is a Spanish handball player with Kyrgyz roots.

Career

He is the son of handball player Talant Dujshebaev (* 1968) and the brother of Alex Dujshebaev (* 1992), who plays for KS Kielce .

Dujshebaev initially played at FC Barcelona , where he was mainly used in the 2nd team. For the professional team of FC Barcelona, ​​the backcourt player played a total of 22 games in the ASOBAL league , in which he scored 17 goals. In summer 2016, he moved to the Spanish first division club Atlético Valladolid . Dujshebaev has been under contract with the Polish club KS Kielce since the 2017/18 season , but he was initially loaned to the Slovenian club RK Celje . With Celje he won the Slovenian Championship and the Slovenian Cup in 2018. From the 2018/19 season he will play for Kielce. With Kielce he won the Polish championship in 2019 and 2020 and the Polish Cup in 2019.

With the Spanish junior selection, he won the gold medal at the U-21 World Cup in 2017 . In 2018 he became European champion with the Spanish senior team . He played five games, but was replaced by Iosu Goñi during the main round . In 2020 he won the European Championship again.
