TALANT DUYSHEBAEV ( Russian Талант Мушанбетович Дуйшебаев , Talant Muschanbetowitsch Duischebajew ., Scientific transliteration Talant Mušanbetovič Dujšebaev ; * 2. June 1968 in Frunze , Kyrgyz SSR , Soviet Union ) is a former handball player ethnic Kyrgyz origin, since January 2014 as handball coach at Vive Kielce is working. He was voted World Handball Player of the Year twice (1994 and 1996) . His playing position was in the central back area .
Player career
society
Dujshebaev started playing handball in his hometown Frunze when he was 14 years old. Before that he played soccer and was active as a swimmer. Discovered in the military, Dushebayev played from then on for CSKA Moscow , where he also made his debut in the Soviet league. In 1992 he moved to the Spanish club Teka Santander , with whom he won the EHF Cup in 1993, the EHF Champions League in 1994 and the Spanish championship in 1993 and 1994. In 1997 he went to the German Bundesliga for TuS Nettelstedt , for whom he was the second best Bundesliga goalscorer with 194 goals and won the Euro City Cup . After just one year, he joined GWD Minden . In 2001 he returned to Spain and signed with BM Ciudad Real , where he was again champion and cup winner. From 2005 to 2007 he was a player-coach there.
National team
With the selection of the United Team Dujshebaev won gold at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. He then played for both the Russian national team , with which he became world champion in 1993 , and, after he was granted Spanish citizenship in 1995, for the Spanish national team , with which he was vice European champion in 1996 and 1998 and won bronze in 2000 . He also won the bronze medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.
Coaching career
For the 2005/06 season Dujshebaev was player- coach at BM Ciudad Real and from the 2007/08 season only head coach, as he had been suspended for a year as a player after an argument at the Super Globe in the summer of 2007. A year earlier he had already been banned from the league for four games. With Ciudad Real and its successor Atlético Madrid , he won the championship five times, the King's Cup five times and the Copa ASOBAL six times. Internationally, he won the Champions League, the EHF Champions Trophy and the Super Globe three times . In addition, he reached the Champions League final in 2010/11 and 2011/12. After Madrid withdrew in the summer of 2013, he took a break. At the beginning of 2014 he replaced the previous coach Bogdan Wenta at the Polish top club Vive Targi Kielce , who has been the club's manager since then. This season he won the Kielce Cup and Championship in Poland. In October 2014 he also took over the coaching position of the Hungarian national team as the successor to Lajos Mocsai . In February 2016, his contract with the Hungarian handball association was terminated by mutual agreement. In the same month he took over as coach of the Polish national team . In May 2016 Dujshebaev won the EHF Champions League with Kielce by winning what was classified as a surprise over Paris Saint-Germain and Veszprém in the final tournament. In May 2017, he resigned from his position as national coach.
