Granollers is a Spanish city ​​in the autonomous region of Catalonia , about 25 km northeast of central Barcelona .

It is the capital of the Comarca Vallès Oriental in the province of Barcelona and is traversed by the Besòs . The population is 61,275 (as of January 1, 2019). Granollers is one of the most densely populated cities in Catalonia.
