Mollet del Vallès is a Spanish city ​​in the autonomous region of Catalonia . It is located in the Comarca Vallès Oriental in the province of Barcelona on the banks of the Besòs . The population is 51,318 (as of January 1, 2019).

Mollet is located on the historic road from Barcelona to Vic (Comarca Osona ) and was mainly characterized by agriculture. The industrialization that began at the end of the 19th century fundamentally changed the face of the city. Today it is framed by modern traffic routes.

The Romanesque church of Santa Maria de Gallecs is located on the northern city limits.
