Cristóbal Martí Batalla ( Catalan Cristòfol Martí i Batalla ; born February 2, 1903 in Granollers , † July 28, 1986 ) was a Spanish football player and coach .
Player career
society
Martí started his career at CE Sabadell . Between 1923 and 1925 he played for FC Barcelona . Then he returned to Sabadell . In 1928 he moved again to FC Barcelona, with whom he played in the newly founded Primera División . In his first season he was instant champions with his club. In 1933 he moved to league rivals Espanyol Barcelona , where he ended his career.
National team
Martí made his national team debut against Czechoslovakia in January 1930 . He played his last national game in April 1931.
Coaching career
After his playing career, Martí became a coach. From 1939 to 1940 he was the coach of Racing Santander . He then coached Real Oviedo from 1940 to 1941 . He then trained the CD Málaga until 1942 . Between 1942 and 1943 he was the coach of FC Girona . From 1943 to 1944 and 1946 to 1948 he coached the RCD Mallorca . From 1949 to 1950 Martí was the coach of CE Europe . This was his last coaching position. Martí died in July 1986 at the age of 83.
