Mia Hermansson-Högdahl (born May 6, 1965 in Gothenburg ) is a former Swedish handball player who was elected world handball player in 1994 .
Career
Hermansson-Högdahl played for the clubs HP Warta, Tyresö HF, Byåsen IL , Hypo Niederösterreich and Valencia in her career . In the 1984/85 and 1986/87 seasons she won the top scorer's crown in the Swedish Elitserien . She also made 216 international matches for the Swedish national team . With 1,091 international goals scored, she is the record scorer in the Swedish selection.
Between 2003 and 2008 she worked as an assistant coach at the Norwegian first division club Levanger HK. Hermansson-Högdahl was part of the Norwegian national team's coaching staff from 2009 . She ended this activity in summer 2020.
