Ni Ju San ( Japanese二十 三 for 23 ) is a punk rock band from Wermelskirchen . They describe their sound as: punk rock , rock , metal , metalcore and ska . A special feature of Ni Ju San are the chants, some of which have up to five voices. Her texts are mainly German and deal with topics such as politics and love , but also trivial things.

The number 23

The 23 is the number of the Illuminati in the novel Illuminatus! and is therefore synonymous with various conspiracy theories . In the intro track of the album Alles Lüge there is a sound recording which, played backwards, contains the following text: “If you have really taken the trouble to make this audible, it speaks for your technical expertise as well as your attitude as such, it was a waste of time. "

history

The band was originally formed in 1997 under the name "Barbed Wire" ; Only in 2001 did they put together a formation suitable for the stage, which was renamed Ni Ju San in 2003. In the same year their first album was released ... and tomorrow the whole world! released, in 2004 came the long player Alles Lie . In 2005 the band came to Nix-Gut Records and released the unplugged live album Elevator Music (recorded in the "Bierhahn" in Wermelskirchen) and the studio album Bis eine Weint . On September 28, 2007, Schoenen Gruss was published. All albums were recorded in the "Donner Tonstudio" in Remscheid .

In 2012, Dystopia, the last album for the time being, was released before a new single with Gloria was released in March 2020 after an eight-year break . This was released under the Hamburg label Alster Records , which digitally re-released all albums released under Nix Gut Records as a re-release.
