history

In 1994 Jürgen Kamm, Michael Koch (Fraggle) and Andy (Andreas Kamm) from the band SiK founded Nix-Gut Records as a DIY label to better distribute their first CD Vergiß es . Starting with a handful of own and various articles from befriended bands, Nix-Gut grew into a company with 20 permanent employees, 20 400 € jobbers and freelancers . The product range was expanded to include the Oi! , Ska , German rock, and other rock scenes as well as streetwear . In addition to the CDs of its own label rooster, Nix-Gut takes over the distribution of many other bands and labels (Krawallbrüder Records, Rookies & Kinks) as well as other merchandise, fulfillment articles, human services (staff) using a new company name, Pro Trade Integra .

Nxi-Gut and regularly published samplers, such as the series Es lebe der Punk , Chaos, Bier + Anarchie , Punk - This is our cult, as well as the series of samplers Die deutsche Punkinvasion und Schlachtrufe BRD, which were published in the 1990s by Snake Records / AM Music . This was done from a "scene proximity" at that time whose sales strategy has now been abandoned.

The previous brand strategy "Nix-Gut Records" and "Nix-Gut Mailorder" has been largely abandoned since the successful connection to the German rock genre and fulfillment.

Nix-Gut Records

Nix-Gut Records the associated record label, which was able to realize over 230 CD releases by 2013. According to their own statements, "medium to small bands in particular do not make money [...] with intervertebral discs". At Nix-Gut, however, “not only those with rank and name have a chance”. Some of the bands under contract with Nix-Gut:

Side projects from Nix-Gut

The community chaotic center

Nix-Gut GmbH was the operator of the Chaotenzentrale web community , which shared a common user database with Fucked-up-loves-you . The site is aimed at "chaos and other chaotic idiots and so ... from Germany, Austria and Switzerland". In June 2013 access via chaotenzentrale.de was discontinued.

The Taugenix -Fanzine

In May 2007 the first edition of the Taugenix -Fanzine, published by Nix-Gut, was published , which specialized in the German punk scene. It brought gossip, information about German punk bands, vegan recipes and much more. In addition, each issue was accompanied by a CD with around 20 songs by well-known and unknown German punk bands. The fanzine was discontinued in 2010 after eleven issues. The former editors are now designing the Ugly Punk - E-Zine .

The music download platform Punkload

A platform that exclusively offers music from the areas of punk, ska and oi-punk. Songs can be listened to for 30 seconds and downloaded for a fee in the common formats.

Positions and controversies

social commitment

Nix-Gut has been recognized as a non-profit company since 2005. The profits are thus fed back into social work, in particular into looking after the ten permanent, severely disabled people who are mainly employed in the textile printing plant that has been in operation since December 2007. Right-wing criminals can do community hours at Nix-Gut.

Nix-Gut was renamed ProIntegra. Since then, the direction of the company can no longer be seen as close to the punk scene. The alignment should from now on have a social effect.

The swastika trial

Crossed out swastika

In 2002, a woman filed a complaint against Nix-Gut after she found the Nix-Gut catalog in her son's room, in which products with swastikas crossed out or smashed by a fist could be seen. In August 2005 the Nix-Gut warehouse was searched by the police and around 17,000 items were confiscated. At the request of the Stuttgart public prosecutor's office , on September 29, 2006 , the Stuttgart Regional Court ordered Jürgen Kamm to pay a fine totaling 3,600 euros for using symbols of unconstitutional organizations in accordance with Section 86a Paragraph 1 No. 1 and 2, 86 Paragraph 1 No. 4 StGB sentenced. The verdict met with great outrage from both politicians and many criminal lawyers because this interpretation was not covered by the legal purpose of Section 86a of the Criminal Code.

Jürgen comb appealed against the judgment Revision A, the case was on 8 March 2007 before the Federal Court is negotiating where the federal acquittal demanded. The BGH complied with this request on March 15, 2007 and overturned the judgment of the Stuttgart Regional Court as unlawful . This means that the legal situation in Germany has been clarified and the wearing of anti-fascist symbols is permitted.

The Frei.Wild T-Shirt

In 2009, Nix-Gut began printing T-shirts for the controversial band Frei.Wild . In protest against this cooperation, the editors of Taugenix -Fanzines got out in January 2010 , which meant the end of it. Some bands also left the label in protest. Andy from Nix-Gut Records justified the cooperation with a "massive order bottleneck" to which Nix-Gut would otherwise have had to react by dismissing employees. The decision was only made after a closer examination, which came to the conclusion that Frei-Wild was no longer promoting “right-wing tendencies”.
