Wärters Schlechte is a German street punk band that was founded in 1991 .
Band history
In the first few years of the band, their musical style was not yet consolidated. However, you could assign them to fun punk or German punk . Over time, they evolved into street punk . In the first few years the line-up of the band changed quite frequently. It wasn't until 1998, when two new guitarists - Kuhflo and Panne - joined them, that the band began to call themselves a street punk band.
Her first album The Old Paul was created in 1996 . This album could still be assigned to German punk / fun punk and was thematically and musically rather immature. It was only released on CD and after the first edition was sold out it was no longer reproduced.
From 2001 , the band's popularity rose, and they released the album Nos temos a dizer . On this album there were also some songs that were created in the line-up before 1998, which is why the album is seen as a “step from German punk to street punk”.
Self-organized tours followed, which made Wärters Schlechte more and more popular. They also performed abroad, including in Hungary , Switzerland , Austria , Slovakia and the Netherlands .
In 2003 the third album Divided Forever was released, a split album with Slain . This album first appeared on the Hungarian underground label Nemart , but was re-released shortly afterwards by the German label Nix-Gut .
In 2005, the guitarists Kuhflo and Panne separated from the band and were replaced by Bea and Benno . After the short break that resulted from this, Wärters Schlechte found a new audience again - for example, through appearances in the youth center OBW9 in Stuttgart.
In 2007 Wärters Schlechte founded their own label "20-4-6-Records", which in 2013 was given up again.
In 2010 the guitarist Bea left the band to study abroad. Eddy took over the guitar. The drummer Swom had to take a break due to a serious illness. Joe / "Tscho" took his place in the meantime.
In 2011 Benno also left the band. Wärters Bad from now on played in a line-up of four. Swom succumbed to cancer on August 16, 2011 . Tscho has been a permanent member of the band ever since.
