Zaunpfahl is a punk rock band from Teterow , Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, founded in 1994 . They describe their music as “ hardcore influenced German metal punk rock rap including soft tones”.
history
The punk rock band was founded in 1994 by Gogo (drums), Goethe (guitar), Marko (guitar) and Thom (bass, vocals). Gogo left the band on October 10, 2008 on the Zaunpfahl homepage.
The often ironic song lyrics mostly deal with political or socially critical issues that deal with injustice and war. The band has played around 800 concerts since its inception.
The DVD, believe it or not, tells the story of the band. On February 17th, 2017 the latest studio album "Neue Zaiten" was released. On April 26, 2017, Paul announced his departure via Facebook.
On February 18, 2018, after the gig to mark the 24th anniversary of the band at the MAU Club in Rostock, the band announced via Facebook that the four of them would now be playing. Michael Russow will now occupy the bass. Ole Jäger plays the guitar part with Goethe. The new formation had its premiere on March 9, 2018 at Huxley's in Berlin . On April 8, 2019, Ole Jäger announced on Facebook that he would be leaving the band. On April 23, 2019, it was announced that replacements for hunters had been found.
