Tut das Not is a German punk band from Backnang , which emerged in 1999 from the band “Die Törtels”. Musically, the band plays calm emopunk. Like the previous band, they released their albums on Nix-Gut Records ; the first two albums were sold for ideological reasons at cost. The band wanted to show their support for the DIY idea.

Since it was founded, Tut das Not have played more than 80 concerts, mainly in southern Germany, but also in the rest of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

reception

After their second album was classified by the Ox-Fanzine as a “thoughtful dismay punk who God knows is not bad, but who doesn't knock you over”, three years later they were certified to be “on the right track”. Her intellectual and critical texts were praised. In contrast, the Plastic Bomb classified the texts as "intentionally sounding like a student [...]" and "pseudo-swollen [...]".
