Amdamdes is a German punk band from Landshut currently under contract with Nix-Gut Records . In 2013, two of the band's recordings were indexed by the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People (BPjM) .

history

Amdamdes, the name is derived from the television program Am dam des , was founded in 2003. A year later the demo Kill the Clown was released . Another recording followed in 2006, titled Slipped and Falled , but it was never released. In 2008 the second demo, Koks und Nutten, appeared . Finally, the band signed with Nix-Gut Records and released their debut album Guten Morgen Deutschland there . The album was produced by Martin K. ( Rasta Knast ).

On November 12, 2012, the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office suggested that the Federal Office for Media Harmful to Young Persons (BPjM) index the sound carrier. The indexing took place on December 7, 2012, the announcement was made in the Federal Gazette of December 17, 2012 initially on List B. Following a decision of May 2, 2013, the sound carrier was then assigned to List A. Thus it is not subject to the distribution ban, but only a youth ban. The band was not informed until April 5, when police officers handed over the indexing notice at a concert in Rottenburg an der Laaber . The reason for the indexing is a cover version of the slime song Polizei SA / SS as well as the band's own piece of shit please , which the BPjM believes would incite violence against police officers.

Since the indexing, the band has had increasing problems performing live. According to the band, police officers would approach the organizers and claim that the band would be subject to a nationwide performance ban. To counter this, the band hired a lawyer.

In 2013 the band played at the Labertal Festival in Schierling with Dog Eat Dog and Dendemann, among others . On October 23, 2013, the indexing of the first demo followed, which has not been produced since 2004. When indexing, Nix-Gut Records is incorrectly listed as a label.

style

Amdamdes play political German punk that turns against the system, the police and neo-Nazis . In addition to political issues, the songs are also about alcohol consumption and celebrations. The band consciously draws on clichés from the 1980s punk movement and thereby expresses its closeness to the scene. The music is kept simple and usually only consists of three to four chord progressions. The band has three singers who take turns doing the vocals.
