The BlumentoPferde is a German-speaking punk band from Torgau and Meißen , almost all of whose members currently live in Leipzig .

history

The BlumentoPferde was founded in spring 2002. The name comes from another pronunciation of the word flower pots . The date of the first concert, which took place on June 15, 2002 in Meißen, was often mentioned by the band as the date of foundation. But the first jointly written song was written in February of the same year.

The band made their first appearance under the name "Fehlstart". But since there was already a band with that name, they decided to rename it without further ado. Since the attempt was made in advance to rule out the possibility of another name being identical to another musical group, the choice fell on the advice of a friend on the term “The Flower Pot Horses”. At first, Clemens Rudert played bass while Stephan Schreiter only acted as a singer. Stephan Schreiter took over the bass and Clemens Rudert the guitar gradually.

After the first demo recordings and the 2003 live album Von Anfang bis Ende 'ne gute Disc , BlumentoPferde released their first studio album Ein kleine Sonnenschein in 2005 . Only a year later, their second album Cassette Deluxe was released on the punk label Nix-Gut Records . In 2008 the band released their third record with 220 volts . The BlumentoPferde are also featured on various samplers. On April 30, 2015, the fourth album Helden der Provinz was released , the title of which refers self-deprecatingly to the origins of the four members.

Since the band was founded, the BlumentoPferde have played almost 200 concerts and shared the stage with nationally known bands and artists such as Die Lokalmatadore , The Wohlstandskinder , StaatsPunkrott , Mutabor , Itchy Poopzkid , Sondaschule , TV Smith , Kafkas , No Exit , Abwärts , Smoke Blow and Joachim Germany . In 2015 the band had an appearance in the show 6 Strings and a distortion in ColoRadio Dresden, of which a podcast exists.

Trivia

In one of the two trailers for the 74-minute animated film Die fette Made Trickparade (2009), several titles by the BlumentoPferde can be heard. The film shows episodes of Schweinvogel , Ulkbär and Peschi & Poschi .

The not very serious band motto of the BlumentoPferde in the early years was: Without rehearsals to the top! One reason for this was the distance between Torgau and Meißen, which made regular rehearsals difficult; on the other hand it was due to the fact that the band only moved into their first rehearsal room after three years and a long search.

Peter plays next to the potting soil still in the bands Staatspunkrott and zvo55 while Stephan at flutter operates as a guitarist.
