Schweinvogel is a cartoon character and creation of the author Blackel . It was first drawn in 1987. There are now several volumes about the adventures of this cartoon character.

Schweinvogel, his "motherly despondent" friend Iron Doof and their house pig Sid live in a trailer. While Iron Doof is running the business, Schweinvogel is working on his inventions, like a space-time machine. Through a wormhole, the three end up in a world whose inhabitants pay no attention to progress and the urge to research. A sensible puddle of mud takes the opportunity and wants to devour the three friends. After escaping back to their homeworld, Schweinvogel and his friends discover that the puddle is called Swampie, is always hungry and likes beer. Eventually they bring them to earth.
