The Wohlstandskinder (also under the short form W $ K ), from 1995 to 2000 under the name Wohlstandskinder , (2001 also known under the pseudonym Kindakacke ) was a German punk and rock band (own name: "Provinzrock") that had existed since 1995 Overath . They gave their farewell concert with the Petra band on December 17, 2005 in Cologne and then split up.

In addition to a few singles , the band released six studio albums and was also featured on various samplers .

Videos were also produced for the songs Wie ein Stern and Kein Radiosong . The latter was broadcast by VIVA .

At their concerts they played as the opening act for The Offspring , Sum 41 , H-Blockx , Die Happy , Donots , Tomte and Dover, among others .

In 2005 the band went on a tour with over 40 concerts to mark their tenth anniversary.

A double live CD was released on November 11, 2005, composed of pieces from the spring tour. A double DVD followed in December. Both are titled Between Image and Habit . In addition to a compilation of several concerts by the band, there are also numerous extras on the double DVD.

Caddy and Türk Travolta played together with Claus and Hasan from Ex- Bone Factory at Casanova's gay side . From 2006 to February 2007, Caddy was also the drummer at Schrott Grenz , and until 2010 with his band Hello Bomb , as well as with Angelika Express , where he works as a live musician. He has been playing with the chief thinkers since 2010 . Tobias Röger (Silver) was the front man of his new band "TON" from 2006 to 2012. He also works as a songwriter and producer and has produced the debut album for Raki's new band Schmeisig .

Raki and Türk Travolta played together with Claus and Matze from Chefdenker and Anne from Ex-Karma Kola in the band Tick17 from 2006 to 2007 . Raki is also part of the Cologne acoustic country punk band Schmeisig .

On May 16, 2015, Raki, Türk and Caddy played together with Alex von Schrottgrenze on vocals in Cologne under the pseudonym "Die kleine Luder" at a concert as part of the reunification of Schrott Grenz, the singer of the wealthy children was not there. This project was repeated on April 1, 2017 in the Sonic Ballroom in Cologne on the occasion of Raki's 40th birthday.

The song The Gray of Our Time from the album Poppxapank begins with an excerpt from the film adaptation of "The Seventh Cross" (Anna Seghers) from 1944.

On November 1, 2019, rehearsal room demos under the name "Wealthy Children - and more: Rehearsal Room Demos 2005" were published via streaming services and by download.
