Sascha Karabey

Sascha Karabey (born May 2, 1978 in Seeheim-Jugenheim ) is a German professional dancer . He comes from a family of dancers. His parents run a dance school in Bad Homburg .

Life

Sascha Karabey is a trained travel agent. He has been dancing since 1989. From 1992 to 2014 he danced with his sister Natascha Karabey , with whom he initially competed as an amateur in standard dances . There Sascha and Natascha Karabey won numerous championships and competitions. They were finalists in all major world ranking tournaments, European and world championships in recent years; the couple finished second at the 2005 World Championships. You start for the dance sport club TC “Der Frankfurter Kreis” . In 2007 the couple moved to the German Professional Dance Sports Association (DPV).

Since 1999, both have led the German rankings of the German Dance Sports Association (DTV) again and again. In the ranking list in the standard dances of the German Professional Dance Sport Association (DPV) they took 7th place at the end of 2007, in the world rankings of the International Dance Sport Federation (IDSF) they made it up to 4th place (end of 2004).

On September 22nd, 2007 Sascha and Natascha Karabey were able to place themselves in front of Marcus Weiß and Isabel Edvardsson at the German championship of professionals in the standard dances both in the five dances and in the freestyle and thus become German champions. Above all, they convinced with their very good technology.

Awards

  • On November 3, 2005, Sascha Karabey and his sister Natascha were awarded the State of Hesse's sports badge, the highest Hessian sports award.
  • On November 15, 2006 they were awarded the Association's Silver Badge of Honor by the Hessian Dance Sports Association for their numerous successes, but also for their commitment to the youngsters.
  • On August 15, 2007 they were honored by the President of the German Dance Sports Association Franz Allert for their services to dance sport and the German Dance Sports Association with its highest athletic award, the sports plaque of the German Dance Sports Association.
