Schmeisig is a cover band from Cologne-Ehrenfeld . The five-member group performs particularly in the Cologne area and uses acoustic instruments to cover and alienate well-known tracks from genres such as Cologne songs, Irish folk , country music , punk rock , metal and techno .
history
The band was formed in 2005 when they were camping together in the Bergisches Land . They played their first public concert at the after show party of the welfare children farewell tour in December 2005 in the Live Music Hall in Cologne. Ex-wealthy child Raki has been playing bass with Schmeisig ever since. In 2012, six years after the band was founded, they released their debut album Musik zum Bierrinken on Hulk Digital , which was produced by Tobias Röger, the former singer of the wealthy children. The album ... and out Comes the Swindle followed in 2017 . The band is regularly represented at the Punk im Pott and Ruhrpott Rodeo festivals , was the opening act for Den Kassierern , Sondaschule and Slime and performed at the annual Christmas concert in Cologne with the Donots , Heiter bis Wolkig , Eläkeläiset and the Petra band . In 2010 and 2013 the group played concerts in Austria and Croatia .
