Julen Aguinagalde Aquizu (born December 8, 1982 in Irún , Gipuzkoa ) is a Spanish handball player . Aguinagalde, who plays for the Polish club KS Kielce and plays for the Spanish national team, plays the position of the circuit . He is 1.95 m tall and weighs 110 kg.

Julen Aguinagalde started playing handball in his hometown. He also made his debut in 1999 in the Spanish ASOBAL league for the local first division club Bidasoa Irún . However, Aguinagalde never succeeded in building on the glorious times of the 1990s with his club. In 2006 he finally signed a contract with the top club Ademar León . With this he moved into the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup in 2007 , but was defeated by the German HSV Hamburg . In the 2008/09 season he won the Copa ASOBAL with León , before moving to league rivals BM Ciudad Real in summer 2009 , with whom he won the Spanish championship in 2010 and the Spanish Cup in 2011 and in 2011 and 2012 (with the successor team Atlético Madrid) won the Copa ASOBAL. In the summer of 2013, he moved to the Polish first division club KS Kielce , with whom he won the championship in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, the trophy in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 and the EHF Champions League in 2016 . He will return to Bidasoa Irún in summer 2020.

Julen Aguinagalde has so far played 191 international matches for the Spanish national team , in which he scored 463 goals.
