Aron Pálmarsson (born July 19, 1990 in Hafnarfjörður ) is an Icelandic handball player .
Career
Aron Pálmarsson played for the Icelandic club FH Hafnarfjörður since his youth . The backcourt player is considered to be one of the greatest talents in world handball. In June 2008 the TBV Lemgo had signed a preliminary contract with him for two years, with which he should be bound to the association. On December 20, 2008, the THW Kiel surprisingly announced the engagement of Aron Pálmarsson from July 2009. In Kiel he had received a four-year contract, which was prematurely extended by two years until 2015 in December 2010. The zebras he won in 2010 and 2012 , the EHF Champions League , 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, the German championship in 2011 , 2012 and 2013 the DHB Cup , the 2011 Super Globe and 2011 and 2012, the DHB-Supercup . For the 2015/16 season he signed a three-year contract with the Hungarian series champion Telekom Veszprém . In October 2017 he moved to FC Barcelona .
With the Icelandic national team , for which Aron Pálmarsson has scored 553 goals in 141 international matches so far , he participated in the European Championships in 2010 , 2012 and 2014 , the World Championships in 2011 and 2013 and in the Olympic Games in London in 2012 , where he was part of the All Star Team was chosen to participate.
