Niclas Vest Kirkeløkke (born March 26, 1994 in rings ) is a Danish handball player who belongs to the squad of the Danish national team.

Career

society

Kirkeløkke began playing handball at the Danish club Risøhøj Håndbold, where he was active in the age groups U6 to U12. In 2006 he joined GOG . In the summer of 2012, the back player moved into the squad of the men's team from GOG, which competed in the second-highest Danish league. In 2013 the left-hander was promoted to the Håndboldligaen with GOG .

In November 2018 he signed a two-year contract with the German Bundesliga club Rhein-Neckar Löwen, which will run from summer 2019 .

National team

Kirkeløkke initially ran for the Danish youth and junior team. He won the bronze medal at the U-18 European Championship in 2012 and was also elected to the All-Star team. A year later he won the gold medal at the U-19 World Cup and was called back to the All-Star team. After Kirkeløkke finished fourth with Denmark at the U-20 European Championship in 2014 , he was unable to participate in the U-21 World Championship in 2015 due to an injury . He made his international debut for the Danish senior team on November 3, 2016. Two months later, Kirkeløkke took part in the 2017 World Cup, during which tournament he scored seven goals.
