The 10th U-18 European men's handball championship 2012 was held in Austria from July 12-22, 2012 . The organizer was the European Handball Federation (EHF).

Venues

The venues for the games were the handball arena Rieden / Vorloster in Bregenz with a capacity for 2,500 spectators and the sports hall at the lake in Hard with a capacity of 1,100 spectators.

Preliminary round

In the preliminary round, each team in a group played once against each other team in the same group. The best two teams in each group qualified for the main round, the third and fourth group qualified for the intermediate round.

In the main round, the first and second group, the participants of the semi-finals, played. The result from the preliminary round (group first against group runner-up in a preliminary round group) was taken into the main round. The winners and runners-up of Group I + II qualified for the semi-finals. The third and fourth group went into the cross games for 5th to 8th place.
