Qualification for U-21 world championship

The U-20 men's handball European championship ( English EHF Men's 20 European Championship , up to and including the 2002 Men's Junior European Championship ) is the competition for the best national teams for male handball players under the age of 20 and has been played since 1996. They take place every two years. After a qualification the best 16 teams of the European Handball Federation (EHF) meet. In addition to determining the best European team, the tournament also serves as a qualification for the U-21 World Cup .

The current defending champion is Slovenia .
