The Sporthalle am See is a two-part sports hall built in 2005 in the Vorarlberg market town of Hard ( Austria ) on the shores of Lake Constance . It is designed for indoor ball sports and offers max. 2400 spectators. The architecture office Früh from Hard designed and planned the building.
The sports hall is part of the so-called sports facility on Lake Hard and represents an architectural unit with a roofed ice rink to the north. It is part of the building complex of the school on the lake, which was built in 2018.
Technical Equipment
A reporter and commentator's booth with all the technical installations for radio and TV broadcasts is available above the field. Public address systems are installed in all parts of the hall, which can be operated just as individually as the hall light with up to 1500 lux.
The sports hall has a photovoltaic system with 135 kWp (878 m² module area), the roof of the ice rink has 165 kWp (1072 m² module area).

The hall is the home of the handball club Alpla HC Hard . For games of the Handball League Austria the official capacity of the hall is given as 2280.
