Peter Kaempfe

Peter Kaempfe (* 1955 in Flensburg ) is a German actor , radio play and audio book speaker .

Life

Peter Kaempfe studied acting in Hanover from 1974 to 1978. He had engagements in Hamburg, Munich and Tübingen and was a co-founder of various theater groups, including the Bremer Shakespeare Company and in 1991 the Theater Aus Bremen (TAB), which played over 2500 performances within and outside Germany until 2004. After that he was seen as guest at theaters in Germany and Switzerland. In 2008 Kaempfe was part of the premiere cast of the musical Der Schuh des Manitu at Berlin's Theater des Westens , which ran until the end of May 2010. In 2013 and 2014 he played there in the play Companions of Arthur. In 2015 he staged a version of Hamlet together with Gabriele Blum at the Monbijou Theater in Berlin.

Apart from a few side trips in front of film and television cameras, Peter Kaempfe mainly works as a speaker. His voice is known from numerous television documentaries, from countless High and Low German radio plays and various audio books, often dealing with legends and biblical topics. From 2001 to 2014 Kaempfe was Station Voice for Nordwestradios , a joint radio program for North German Broadcasting and Radio Bremen .
