people

The main characters are Emily, Kim, the robot known from the children's magazine Geolino , who is affectionately known as "Lino", Mr. Schulz, who has made his farm available for the games, and the detective Coldfinger (here the villain Goldfinger from the eponymous James Bond film alluded to).

content

12-year-old Emily and the kids from her school have a great idea: why not hold their own Olympics, where the focus is on sport rather than money and advertising? After more and more school classes from all over Germany and ultimately also from all over the world are enthusiastic about this idea and have organized their own small competitions at their schools, the so-called “other Winter Olympic Games” take place a few months later. The sports, however, are very bizarre. There is, for example, a chocolate ice cream licking contest, icicle long-term sucking, pounding feet warm, brushing walrus teeth, skating swearwords, trembling contests, the penguin snowboard cup or screeching blocks of ice. The children from other countries also have great ideas, e.g. B. Vatinare en Schokolat, Tennis cou Kamridnam, Gakakaschnjewu, Nupoldenjieve or Memorie-Slodowenikoskanowe. But then Emily, who is organizing the competition, receives strange emails in which a stranger requests that the game be stopped. When Emily refuses to quit the competition, more and more accidents happen. The medals are stolen and a lot more happens.

Emily goes on a search for the origin of the accidents together with Max, Lino and the detective Goldfinger.

In the end it turns out that director Manfred Malzeit, the owner of the "Goldschokowerke", is responsible for the accidents because he is the main sponsor of the real Olympic Games and feared that nobody would buy his chocolate bars anymore.

The best ideas from a listener competition were incorporated into the radio play. It was about inventing crazy sports.
